Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play and sing in the early years together with her mom. The formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was a member of many chamber and opera choirs. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing keeps her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her love and love for the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
