Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. She moved to Oxfordshire when she was five and enrolled in an academy called the Dragon School. Emma's ambition was to become an actor. At the age of six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes on singing, acting, and dance. Through a school play as well as an Stagecoach show, she was her role as lead actress at 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Emma was found by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theater teacher. Emma's debut film appearance came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. The film set records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings as well as being the most-grossing feature in 2001. Critics praised the film and the performances of the three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Later Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her role in the film and was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress Young in an feature Film.
